Searching by pattern
Type the letters you know in their positions and a ? or _ for each one you don't. C?T finds CAT, COT and CUT; S__RE finds SHARE, SNORE and STORE. The pattern also fixes the length, so there's no need to set it separately.
Starts with, ends with, contains
Use these on their own or together. ST in "Starts with" and ING in "Ends with" gives you every word shaped like STING or STRING. "Contains" respects repeats — EE only matches words with at least two E's.
Lists like "5-letter words starting with S"
Set the length to 5 and put S in "Starts with". It works the same way for any length from three to eight letters and any starting or ending letters. For words built only from letters you're holding, use the word unscrambler.
